We presented in this room at 8am on Thursday, March 31, the first day of the conference. Despite that, we had about 20 people come, which was a pretty good turn out.
Here are our panelists getting ready to present. From left to right are Bunny, Pierre-Emmanuel, Eun-Young, Professor Baker (our chair) and Professor Kenneth Wells (our discussant). I later learned that Professor Wells was the external reviewer for my dissertation!
Us eating lunch after our panel. In the blue shirt is Christopher Lovins, another student of Professor Baker's. He is preparing to his comps and also presented at the conference.
To my pleasant surprise I ran into my old friend and colleague, Hilary Finchum, who is an ethno-musicologist. Her daughter has been winning all sorts of music/speech awards and her sons are quite bright too!
From left to right are Jieun Han (my co-translator for the An Chunggun materials), Bunny, Pierre, and me. Bunny pointed out that I look like I have a mohawk in this picture.
