More Gifts from Jisoo and Minwook

We just recieved a care package from Jisoo and Minwook (our first friendship family daughter and her boyfriend). It had a kind card, a bunch of snacks, and Korean-style stamp (도장)

Look at all that loot!

Individually-wrapped Korean coffee packs! I have missed this stuff! It's awesome.

The stamp. It says "Rausch Family" in English and the part that is used to stamp says "라우시" (Rausch/Ra-u-she). Such a thoughtful gift!

Fun with Gifts from Jisoo and Minwook

Our former friendship family daughter Jisoo and Minwook gave us some gifts awhile ago. We recently had the opportunity to have a lot of fun with them.
My colleague Bill and his wife Mei had us over to their house for Chinese New Year's. Here we are playing Yuk-no-ri with our friendship family daughters Minkyung and Yaemin, Bill and Mei's friendship family daughter Lilly, and their son Zhen (David is playing guitar). Our team won both games (Zhen was really good at it!)

Jisoo and Minwook also gave us magnetic Han'gul letters (Korean alphabet). John had a blast playing with them.
Thanks again Jisoo and Minwook for your gifts!

Saturday Fun

Things have been busy the last few weeks with the start of the new semester and I'm getting ready to give some exams and papers so we thought I should take a half-day off on Saturday to go out. We tried to go to Jumping Jacks, but it was really crowded so we then went to the skating rink but it was closed. We weren't sure where to go but then David suggested the bowling alley, which turned out to be perfect.

David and John riding the motorcycle.
David beat me at air hockey, 7-2.
Arlene and the boys back on the motorcycle.

Playing team basketball.
David making a spare on mini bowling

John bowling.
After bowling we went to McDonad's and then to Publix. After that it was back to work.
