CMoE

The other day I had to go to the bank and they had coupon books for sale for charity for a dollar so I bought one. It had a free children's ticket to the CMoE (Children's Museum of Evansville). Arlene has been wanting to take David there and so we decided to finally go. I checked the museum's home page and Saturday, Oct 2nd was its fourth birthday so they were going to have special events and cookies. Well that settled the matter. So we went early Saturday morning and had the place practically to ourselves.

David playing in a sandbox full of rice.
David and some teaching students from the University of Southern Indiana teaching him about patterns by helping him make a bracelet.
Posing and showing off their matching bracelets. David had a blast, he just looks a little sad here because he wanted to eat the cookies on the other side of the room (which we did right after this!).

David and I in an earth-mover bucket. It showed our weight in a sign above it and the combined weight of everyone who had ever weighed themselves in it.

A high school girl volunteer had a table set up where the kids could paint pictures using highly concentrated koolaid. Thus, the paint smelled nice.

Floating balls with air.

The drum was hooked up so that when you put your hands on the handle, each time your heart beat, the drum would strike.

David having a blast in the water room.

They had a camera set up so you could make your own stop-motion movie. This is a video of the one we made.
The staff and volunteers were very kind so we will ahve to go again.
