Our Cruise

In celebration of the successful defense of my dissertation, dad and mom took us on all a cruise to the Western Carribean.
Me in front of our ship, docked at Costa Maya, Mexico.

When I think Carribean, I think Norway.

The beach at the Mayan ruins in Mexico known as Tulum. My understanding is that these are the only ruins that have are along the ocean. Tulum was an important center for trade.

I think this is a temple at Tulum.

Arlene with the cast of the broadway review.

David and some of the ladies who worked at the childcare center. He loved going there. On this day they dressed all the kids up like princes and princesses (or else David forgot to shave, I can't remember which).

Us at Shogun, the restaurant that serves almost all Chinese food, but uses a Japanese name. That said, it was delicious!

Arlene and David. They dressed the kids up like "Blue" the puppy from Blue's Clues.

Me as helsman, guiding the ship through many a peril.

David loved to swim.
