Conferences

March has been a busy month. I was in two conferences and have one left.

The first conference took place at Brite Divinity School in Fort Worth, Texas. It was really neat because it was an invited conference. What that means is that the organizers paid for everyone's lodging, food, and transportation. The subject of the conference was the Christian missionary experience in Korea. I was invited because I study Korean Catholicism.

The second conference was at Boston College. My friends Sean and Bunny and I put together a panel on Korean Christianity. Here we are at breakfast.

Here are Sean and Kim in front of the statue of Saint Ignatius of Loyola on the campus of Boston College.

Here I am presenting. I love this photo. It looks like I'm bored by my own presentation and am yawning.

Seattle Pacific Pictures

The position I interviewed for was at Seattle Pacific University. During a break period my guide drove me around the area.

This is the troll the lives under the bridge. That's a real VW bug he has in his hand.
This is a statue of Lenin. For 150,000 (not including delivery costs), it can be yours!

University Position

Unfortunately I did not get the position I had applied for. Naturally I'm disappointed but I believe they picked the right person for the position. Something will show up for me in God's good time. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers.

Back home

Thanks to everyone for the prayers and thoughts. The interview went well. They will hopefully have an answer by next week. I hope and pray they will find the right person for the position.

Heading out

I'll be flying out for the interview on Wedensday. My teaching demonstration and the main interviews will be on Thursday. Then I will come back Friday. Please keep me in your prayers!

David!

It's been a long time since I posted anything on David. That's too bad because he's the main attraction:)
