It's been a long time since I posted on this Blog. Basically it's been a combination of being rather busy and an attempt to use Facebook. I find Facebook to be rather confusing and distracting, so I'm going to attempt to bring this back.

Quick Post

Things are going well, but busy, so I haven't had the chance to post. Hopefully I can do more in the summer. For now, here's a video of me with David and John.

Birth of John

On October 31, 2011 at 9:08 Pm, John "Little Lumpy" Rausch was born. Mother and child are doing well. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers!

Calm (?) before the Storm

I've been meaning to update our blog for awhile, but things have been a little busy, especially as I've been trying to get ahead on my work so I can take a bit of time off when Little Lumpy is born (late October/early November). Things are going well. I really like teaching at Eckerd. Everyone, faculty, staff, and students, have been great, and I'm really learning a lot there. Arlene and David are in good health. David still loves school.

My colleague (and office mate) Melanie had us over for dinner. Pictured here is another colleage, Theo. Melanie is a medievalist and Theo is a professor of English.

David made some pictures for Melanie. She gave him an angry bird stuffed animal, which he just adores.
