I just returned from Korea and am fighting jet lag. I therefore thought it would not be a bad idea to update the blog.
After arriving in Korea I had dinner with my old friend Hye Yoon.
Our friendship family daughter Sophie and her father took me to the DMZ. Here is a rice field on the way there.
While at Freedom Bridge we ran into a group of Filipinos.

Looking at Freedom Bridge, over which South Korean POWs returned.
 Hyeonjeong and her father.
North Korea, specifically, the city of Kaeseong.
Sophie's father was able to use these binoculars to find a North Korean person riding a bicycle
We toured one of the invasion tunnels and this monument raising the hopes of civilian unification was on disply
I was treated to a wonderful lunch following our tour

On Sunday I attended Mass with our former friendship daughter Jisoo.

Here I am giving a tour of the Ahn Junggeun Memorial Museum to the students

Dinner with the people from the Ahn Junggeun workshop (I helped run it, which is why I was in Korea in the first place).

We gave some lectures and led some discussions and then ended with a poster session. The students did a great job.

They had live music performances at the airport. They were very talented
It was great to get back home with the family. Here are the boys playing with their toys sent by our friendship family daughters.
