Mom's Birthday

Mom had her birthday on September 11th. On the tenth we had her birthday lunch at Texas Longhorn.

Dad bought some kites. We were able to fly them a bit but it hasn't been windy enough to really get them going.

David likes to butter my pancakes and put sugar on them, so that he can then sito n my lap and eat the latter.

Our local Chick-fila restaurant sponsored a family festival in the parking lost. They had blow-ups, a petting zoo, a place to make felt picture frames, and even were giving out free cotton candy. They also had a tractor pull. I did this once when I was a little kid. It was a lot of fun. I also had (and David now has) a John Deere tractor just like the one pictured here.

Youtube experiment

I'm experimenting with uploading videos of my presentations on youtube. I have two purposes in mind. One is that someone might find the subject matter interesting. The other, frankly more pressing, issue is that I will mention these videos in my letter of application when applying for jobs in hopes that it will give me an edge. I have uploaded a total of two talks (in three parts each). I will put the first part of each of the two talks here in case anyone wants to comment and give me some criticism.

This talk is on the Virgin Married couple.
